Sonja Wagners pictures in acrylic, tempera and mixing techniques were developed on her expanded voyages round the world after Southeast Asia, Africa and the mediterranen area.
The artist born in South Germany transfers her sensations gained through contact with diverse nativ peoples of this earth into a dialogue between sounds of colours and symbolism. Beside high-contrast she sets calm colour surfaces, loaded with symbolism..it produces a meditative as well as communicative atmosphere. Organic and abstract forms stand in the direct dialogue to each other. The luminosity of the colorus and the depth of symbolisms, refer to a strong solidarity with the roots of archaic seeming cultures, which centers their holistic meaning of life. The result of their long-time intense dispute with those valueconceptions have paintings with unusually high expressiveness to the consequence, which remind us just in the present datareduced reality to our substantialness existence.
